well I went to the RTA to find out about the past rego on the car, its been off the road for too long (since 1992 by the looks of it) for the records to come up on their system  , apparantly the info has been "archived" so they couldn't tell me if it has been V8 regoed before :furious:

does anyone know if the archived info can be accessed? and how?

Try writing a letter to them seeking the information, you may even be able to try FOI but that costs money and doesnt always get results.

the way I do it is firstly answer the last question (you need to put something to be able to preview it), then hit"Preview Post"

then re-edit the rest in the "Preview Post" area adding the other qoutes and answers etc.

that way I dont have to re-type what I'm quoting, (unless I want to quote more than just the one person I'm replying to.)

Hey Steve, firstly sell those hurricanes to me.
Secondly, sell the front sheetmetal to me.
Then the 9in diff.
damn it, I'll just take it off your hands as it is, so why didnt you just drop it off at my place on the way past?

As for what to do with it, what do you want for the shell? I really do need front panels for my LC 2 door which Ive just scored. :D I'll just scrap the rest unless someone wants it.

The AOMC has all of vicroads archives, thats the only place you'll get the info.
You can apply via their website.

.........and the other set for this thing :D , it will / would be a lot of work to de-flare it , so a race car replica is on the cards ;)

The 186 with the triple CD's is looking very attractive at the moment, the 202 I have in the shed is an unknown quantity.

Hey there.

I dont know what was wrong with people back then. They did exactly the same thing to our lc gtr, but get this, they started the flares like almost up where the lead wiping is in the roof! So in order for us to restore it to how it was we are going through a hell to get other guards put on. I would suggest if you can do something else, that is definately the way to go. Its expensive, and hard for people to get right. Unless you're a panel beater it will end up costing you at least $5k plus just to get the flares fixed, then paint on top of that.

Good luck with it.

Nicole
