About 14 years ago my grandad started to rebuild them into one car but lost interest in it and they have sat in his shed ever since.
The donor car
I decided i wanted another project as a cruiser with a resto/custom look so i rang him and asked what he was doing with them. He said I can have them, so ive spent the last week down there working on it and this is where im at now
The plan so far is to use the 186 in the Donor car which has only done 30 000 miles( he bought a brand new engine from Holden sometime in the 70s)
Coupled to a colum shift trimatic, std banjo with some 2:78s rebuild the suspension fit up a disc brake front and booster
Retrim the interior keeping the bench seats and maybe even the Camper seat option( the bench folds flat to make a bed inside the car)
Some white walls and hubcaps on the std steelies and then cruise the wheels off it.
Ill update again next week when i get back again hopefully the shell will be etched inside and out by then.
