The tacho in my car seems to be reading at approx. 1/2 rpm.
It has been switched to 8cyl on the back of the tacho but im not sure how they wired up for signal off 1 of my 8 coils (LS1).
Can somebody tell me if I switch the tacho from 8cyl to 4 cyl will it double my rpm or half it again?

switching from 8 cyl to 4 cyl will double the reading.
the tacho will be reading as if the 4 cylinder engine is rotating 4 times per 8 coil firing moments.
8 cylinder will read 2 revolutions per 8 firing incidents
sounds like an easy fix
