Matt, why did you remove the drop-tank and fit the standard tank again??

As for the diff problem, hopefully what we discussed on Saturday may prove to be the problem, I will chat with you this week and get that info to you.

I can totally understand the time & money you've spent in the last couple of months mate, but don't let it beat you! Park it for a bit, but you'll be right!!!

I have a major problem with surging with my drop tank. I would have to run like 70litres in there to stop the problem, and i didnt want to carry the extra weight, so i bolted the old tank in which has no surge probs at all. Good idea in theory anyway (made the car look gay though!)

Yeah im hoping that could be the problem with my diff as well, Even if it means i can just take the 4.11's out and fix the problem. i might take up Johns offer though, cos 3.55lsd would be much better for me.

Yeah i am leaving the car at maddys house for a while, i have a heap of Uni stuff due soon, so i have to get my head back in the books before i start playing with the car again. I am going off to get a loan this week so i can pick up my SS and also have a bit of extra spending money to get some work done on the HQ to make it a bit more reliable...

Anyway, the race is still on!

he was busting his arse on Saturday to break into the 15's, But in saying that, once his 9 inch is in with a decent ratio, he will probably knock a good second off his times, cos it was is take offs that was letting him down. His car was just bogging right down.

no foxing, I was wringing its neck, the gears in my diff were way too high, I was crossing the line at 97 MPH, in second gear!

Bummer and double bummer! Tough luck Matt, must have been the worst experience after all that time and effort, feel for you mate. But there is always another day, hang in there, you can beat makka some other time. You know you can do it in theory, just have to make it in reality now!
