well in mine, the wires that were on side of the block to like elec dizzy, coverd them in tape same colour as the block and for wires up back you could either tape the some colour as ya body paint or spray same colour or also run them behind the firewall if u really wanted super clean i guess? heres come pics of mine, its not clean at all but cant really see wires on the motor

I bought the front half of a Jag XJ6 loom, it has a 20 pin plug. I cut and put it into the Torana loom for engine. So now when pulling the engine out it is 1 plug for the engine to be removed. Then made a small loom that runs arround the sump for starter alternator ect.

depends on which wires.
under the drivers side guard for headlights etc
wiper motor - drill a hole right under the plug and go through there
heater fan - inside the motor housing
spark plug leads - under the headers
alternator - same place as starter motor wires
coil - put it behind glove box and use a moroso thru firewall plug.
There is only 1 wire that I havent found a hiding place for and that is the brake fail one.
Not sure what to do with the accelerator cable either yet
