could someone please post some pics of an 18V interior :spoton:

my LH SLR 5000 is 18V and I'm not sure that the interior I have is correct for the car  , looks more like black with black golf ball vinyl in it at the moment

is there much difference between the slate black and plain black?

and what shade of grey are the grey inserts?

19V is black with grey golfball insert in the SL/R.

LH had both 18V/X and 19V/X in the black/grey range.

LX only had the 18V/X in the black/grey range. Both LH and LX had various other colour trims.

18 (slate) is slightly lighter than than 19 which is more black. They are not that obvious to tell apart until you have them next to each other.

18V LX https://cache.gmh-to...ry/P1010098.jpg

18X LX https://cache.gmh-to...ry/Dsc07683.jpg

I don't have any pictures at the moment of LH 18V interiors. Similiar just the inserts are different. LX extends the full length while LH has it encased in the black.

Hope this clears things up..

Hope this clears things up..

 , yep it sure does :D , took the back seat out and it is slate black with a grey golfball insert, just very dirty inserts that looks black until you get it out in the daylight :D

fronts are slate too, but the inserts have been replaced at some stage with plain vinyl  at least the inserts are black slate , I can rat them for repair pieces ;)

thanks for the help Redslur :spoton:

THANKS Red Slur, is the LH houndstooth insert material exactly the same as LX?
Has anyone any LH photos?
Were L34 torana's mostly fitted with 19V trim or did they vary. Did L34's come in houndstooth as well or any other colours for that matter?

The David Jones pattern is houndstooth. It was fitted up till 1974 in LH's from factory and was continued to be used as a dealer fitted option in later LH's and LX's. My LX is dealer fitted with houndstooth. The most correct trim is the sergeants stripes, or better known as herringbone. This is in the second link that I previously provided. (18X)

There are two different types of houndstooth. There is the American pattern and the Australian pattern. The American pattern, I believe, is smaller in grain like that of Swarbs picture. It is a bit blurry so I can't be entirely sure.

As for the L34, I have never seen a cloth insert option for them. I have only ever seen them with 19V, golfball insert. This doesn't mean that they didn't get ordered with cloth inserts. I can't be certain.

Cheers
Redslur.

Interesting, pretty sure it isn't houndstooth mate, very simliar though..The pattern is too small. Probably a generic material of some sort..

Interesting Arrimar. I don't doubt it. All the info I have only gives you 12V, 19V and 66V as trim options. I am not suprised though because we are fast learning that eveything wasn't documented properly in the early days.
