I am currently rebuilding the hearbox in my car and pulled it right down to the base plate. The internals are in pretty good condition with only a bit of surface rust to the base plate.

I have a couple of questions for somebody who has rebuilt one that may be able to help me.

1. Can you get the motor rebuilt or shall I find a good working one instead ?

2. Does anybody make repro heater hose that is very close to or the same as the original hose on LC's ?

3. Does anybody make a rubber seal kit for fitting the base plate to the firewall or do I have to make one myself ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

#1 ..Just look for a good second hand motor as it will be heaps cheaper and a lot easier
#2..There is NO repo heater hose that is as good as NOS but there are some that are close.
#3.. I had to make all my new gaskets for my heater box and i also went to Clarke rubber in Melbourne and bought some new foam for the direction plate inside the box. Came up really good and looks NEW..Cheers..Phil :spoton:
