I think that replicas of cars that are dead is the way to go. There are soo many great looking cars that are no longer with us that showing up with a copy is pretty cool.

There are a lot of copy Brock A9X '79 hatches around, hell - even I've got one, but with the other cars, copying a car that is still around is really a waste of a lot of effort. I don't know how I would feel if someone showed up with a replica of my '77 Janson/Perkins car, unless it had a tow bar - now that would get my interest - 308 with a turbo 400 and a good diff and 4 wheel discs. I know I get a bit funny when a copy of my Absinth Yellow hatch shows up!

Copy cars that are gone.

More of a tribute than a replica.

There will be no sign writing and the white triangle on the bonnet will be deleted as although I am a smoker, I won't condone it.

Does anyone know the names/code no.s of the red and the white? Mr Nos?

salamanca red and alabaster white is what we painted my vh in and it come up tops bruce knowacki told me last year at tfest top bloke he is

This is the one I'm doing. I have all the parts to put this together. It will have a 308 with twin side draught Webbers, Muncie 4 speed and Detroit Locker 9 inch. I even have a set of the original Magnum wheels. I just have to finish my spray booth / dust room so I can get into it. I bought the model on Ebay about 12 months ago. I was told that it was a Biante prototype which they did some time ago for the production type.

I have a pipe dream...everytime I see a cheap vk I think this:

and the Chickadee factory is 2 km from me...I reckon I could sell them on it as a marketing tool.

yeah im just dumbfounded how something that looks so wrong can beat you by anything up to 10 or more seconds at hillclimbs when you feel they should roll over going over a speed hump??????
