The rear springs shouldnt change if you fit a 120L drop tank should they? Not if the tank is made correctly

The spring design will not change. You may find that you want a different spring height or rate due to the extra weight ( approximately 60kg more than standard full tank ).

If you fill the standard tank and get a friend to sit in the boot you would get a rough idea of the ride height.

Slightly off topic,

But would a 120litre aluminum drop tank be lighter than the original steel ones??

With no fuel in them???

cheers youngy

Not double the weight, but given your about to double the capacity of the fuel and therefore the weight therein, i wouldn't be fussed about the weight of the tank.

If your getting a BD, you will be happy.

Youngy,

If you are running EFI then the Brown Davis 1/2" pickup and swirl pot is not required. I intend to modify my Brown Davis tank considerably to suit an EFI fuel system.

What plans do you have for the fuel system?

Ok,
Im not 100% as dad rang up last week and I haven't really talked to him in depth about it.

He said Brown Davis recommended the swirl pot and 1/2"pick up from memory.

Anyway what are ur suggestions/ intentions with the EFI set up.

Also do you have any pics or ur tank on the car just to see how low it is.
Cheers
