no 60B - chamois and black vinyl with cloth seat inserts is the discription in AMC no27 page 125

I have seen chamios with brown vinyl inserts on early LX's, not black, also the SLR5000 on that page has chrome outer door handles. I thought all LX SLR5000's had black door handles.

havent seen to many brown/chamois slr interiors , dont know about the handles either.guess it was just option when ordered new.the picture toranavista posted in my paint question looks like black handles also

According to my records, 60B for LX SLR is Chamois vinyl with Chevron (Arrows like Herringbone) inserts. Here is a pic of the trim in a SS.

60B, chamois and black vinyl with cloth inserts. Now never having seen that combination, however my old SS was 60A, as is my A9X. I don't know what part has black vinyl though in the A9X, but in the SS the console lid was slate to match the black console. In the sedan it's chamois as they paint the console to match the trim.
As for the cars in the pics, they would have been very early cars, perhaps not even production models, more like used for promo purposes only, and like most, were probably crushed later like the A9X show cars.

could the black vinyl just be the roof linning ? cannot see it being mixed with the seat or door trims but it was the 70's

For Chamois trim in Chamois Exterior (SS & SLR) 60A is Golfball Vinyl. 60B is CHEVRON.

Does anyone know where I could get hold of that chevron vinyl that Toranavista mentioned as I have just bought a slr with 60b trim and the inserts were changed to plain chamois vinyl as they were torn at the seams.
No pics yet I wont have the car for 2 weeks.
