I got quoted $35/pair for steel ones and $45/pair for aluminium ones, is that reasonable?

I sold to sets on the dreaded ebay for $15 ea...others that I see seem to acheive that too...that was for Redline chrome ones.

I don't think that is reasonable

These have always appeared a little cheapo looking, but from reading the description they do sound alright.. provided they're fitted neatly. Anyone want to comment?

RoryM, that info is highly appreciated. Did you think they were good? i.e. sit flat, install neatly, last well etc? (I'm hoping they did their job, lol!)

I'm sure one of the supercar teams lost a bonnet last year using the alloy ones.
May have been DJR.
Does anyone else remember?

Heath, they worked on every touring car since 1970 and are still going strong!
Have a look at the old pics in AMC.

More moving parts means more things that can stuff up. I prefer the KIS theory. Keep It Simple.

All the flush mounted types (do I have to morgage the house for those ones Datto?) are legal.
The pin type will draw a defect since the rules were changed a while back.

The push and twist GTHO type are good.

The vehicle I will be using the pins on will never be registered.
