Regarding the 4 cyl Torana with a Toyota motor,
I presume this is something to do with the Holden Nova / Apollo motor as the regs say the motor must be from the same manufacturer ???

What model is this car ? And is it any good ? I've never heard of it being done before even though it fits into the rules of the class.

I suppose a F4000 V6 in a Torana or Commodore could be a bit of a weapon also.

The toyota motor in question is from a rebadged Toyota car that Holden sold, so if you find one, then you can use that engine only, not ANY Toyota engine. The Torana is a L J ... hence the 4 Cyl. One rule to remember about Torana's is they cant have a V6 as no Torana was released with a V6... only an inline 4, 6 or Vee 8.... so you can only fit that type of engine config... get it? Like wise you cant fit a inline 6 to a VN>VE Commo, only V6 or V8.
So thats is why I can fit a 350 chev to my Torana as it was released in HQ etc...
another option for LC, LJ, LH and LX is the RB30 (VL Commo) engine... ie efi etc.
The toyota engine option has also been seen in Gemini's as well. Likewise you cant race a UC with a V8 in it... only a 4 or 6cyl.
How well does this car go? well I am not sure as I have only seen it once at a pratice day and didnt see any times. If you click on the link you will find a photo of it... scroll down the page, car 93, I think he has put a TA Torana front on it as well. There are 2 shots of my car also :D

The LJ has a normal front end for a 4cyl model LC. Check out Kaz's blue Elsie. Why some one would want to build a race car out of one is beyond me, but each to their own taste I suppose.
