A9X Set up

I was talking to an old guy today who told me to use HQ upper and lower control arms. HQ stubs and brake set up. And that would be an A9X setup. He told me I wouldn't have any steering geometry problems. I was wondering if this was true and what sort of problems I would run into if I did this conversion.
Thanks

It might be somewhere in his phone book sized thread on his current race car?(Set aside a day)
I think it involved stub axles but not control arms?
Good luck!

Read the thread Grasshopper. UC are offset.15mm in the top balljoint. A(X is the same..perfect road setup.Gloss black ones about half way down page..dirty ones are LH.

Datto, if you're referring to the UC style offset balljoint upper wishbones, then A9X's should have them. I've seen a few that haven't, but they all should have them. Interestingly, of the few I've seen that have had the non offset uppers, two had what look to be fairly professionally made spacers for the upper arm pivots, to give the same caster offset. That leads me to believe that if an A9X ended up with the non offset upper arms on the production line for any reason (mistake, ran out of the right arms, etc), that they had a quick and easy fix by using spacers.A9X aren't offset rory

Rory, does your setup foul on full lock? The Harrop arms don't have the same steering lock limiter shape as the A9X and LX steering arms, so I suspect that they may allow the caliper to hit the upper arm on full lock.
