depends on what your looking to do.
if you are looking for a streeter with good performance, sounds tuff and easy to build, buy and install. go the red6.
problem with a v8 is they dont like to corner a whole lot!!
and with a nissan 6, well just my opinion, but there would be hassles with getting it engineered and so on, well not problems, but more then a red 6 if you know what i mean.
and you cant kill a red 6! haha. well you can.but takes a bit.

Where as if your going to do another engine you will need to upgrade your brakes among other things just to get it reregistered. If I would have one LJ and one LC, had my way, LC SR20DET and LJ EFi 355. One for driving and one for cruising =p

personally either a 186, or more a 202 with a 186 head if you like or for reliability go with a newer EFI engine, less hassles in away if its done properly, so no hassles arise, but everything has its ups and downs and looks pretty different, i dunno about some storys that a V8 is to "front heavy" in a lil LC or LJ, but yeah looks the part though,
either way be different and go EFI jap or V6 or even 8, or stick to carby!

Sound advice, even a 202 Blue motor with carb and a 5 speed would be ausome. I have a friend that did the Blue to Black motor swap for the EFI and extra preformance was not noticable it was smoother he said (in a nut shell not impressed). rgds Sunburstmate don't go too wild with it if it's gunna be a daily driver.... a vk efi 3.3 or a commodore v6 would be ya best bet...and keep the engine stock in both cases she will go well and be reliable. my 2c worth anyway!

what did you do for exhaust? I had trouble with standard set up fitting and went to extractors in an LJI started with a VH 3.3L Blue, was a great update. Easy to fit. Nothing to complex. Pull out bolt in. and electric dizzy so only thing you have to change is the 6 volt start wire to 12 volt.
