I just picked up a RJays Helmet for about $119. Full face, with visor and its Gloss Black.
No more borrowing helmets for me.

I thought you'd already be up in Benalla. Obviously not...
I'd jump in for the day if the LX wasn't a priority

I was planning on staying in Benalla Saturday nite and hitting the track early, but it didn't happen.
So i did the up and back in one day.
I left around 6am (after getting up at 4:30am!) and arrived at the track around 9am. I couldn't believe how many people were there. There was STACKS of people. Heaps of first timers as well. The queue for scrutineering got to the bottom gate of the pits! Thats how many cars were there. It was the biggest fun day, car wise, i have seen.
I wasted the best part of two hours, pulling the rear lowered springs out and putting the standard springs back in, won't do that one again So it was like nearly 1pm before i got the car lined up.
On the track the car was awesome with them Avon slicks, i couldn't get them to squeal and they weren't scrubbing on the guards at all. I only managed about 5 -7 laps, because the queues to get on the circuit were so huge, and because there was a lot of 'aggressive' driving on the track, and I was planning on driving the LJ home, not towing it.
I would have prefered a bit more track time, but i didn't like how close people were getting to me, and sometimes you gotta wonder what the P plater behind you is thinking....
My personal favorite car of the day was a Dark Red LJ XU-1. I sounded flipping awesome screaming up the main straight. I managed to get a look under the bonnet, looked to be running Triple Strombergs. Very nice car.
Anyways, I'm home safe and sound as is the car.
