Duno if this is right place but can the Lc/lj hand brake handle its self be removed just the handle and button?

the handbrake assembly bolts to the floor from inside the car which is only 2 bolts by memory
but to remove the handle only wouldnt be worth grinding off the large rivit
.

I think Stedz means the handle grip? and if so the answer is yes, but it ain't easy!
Twist and pull like absolute buggery. Slightly easier if you heat it up in boiling water, but not much. The grip has an internal ridge which corresponds with a crimp in the metal arm and does a bloody good job of making sure it stays put
And it's no easier getting another one back on
I have never taken the button off before so can't comment on that.

Don't yank toooooooo hard or you will break the mounts where it is bolted to the floor as this is another one of this models weaker points.
