i,m in the middle of an xu1 resto painting some bits black , i think i,ve got it correct but any correction whether i am wrong in painting in semi gloss black or gloss black would be great on the below parts.

front and rear inserts of light bezels ..SEMI GLOSS BLACK
grill insert ..SEMI GLOSS BACK
brake booster .. GLOSS BLACK
Brake booster bracket and arm..SEMI GLOSS BLACK
radiator/nose cone support bar .. SEMI GLOSS BLACK
handrake lever ..GLOSS BLACK
firewall heater plate .. SEMI GLOSS BLACK
horns ..GLOSS BLACK
pulley and fan blade ..SEMI GLOSS BLACK

Thanks for your opinion/help guys..

Hmmm...might be wrong Shaun but I thought anything under the bonnet was semi gloss..eg booster and horns...but as usual I will stand corrected.

id be saying semi too for the grill. and would be hard to go off a grill thats been in service for 35 years surely like Orangelj said would have lost its shine expecially as on plastic.

Id recon same as headlight surounds and salxu1 has nos ones in bags still what colour are they Ian? semi gloss?

I am with everyone else on this. I have just had my engine bay, booster, horns etc repainted and went for a satin finish black.
