LC Upper Ball joint Q's??

Hey all
Does the upper ball joint on lc's drop in or bolt in from under neath, make sense?
So do u drop it down thru the hole then bolt it up or do u bolt it up into the arm?
Any help asap please

In from the top, then bolt on
