Yea it is mr LX, makes the rest look sh*t at the moment hey!

Dave apparently that is the way to do it but OH! what a long time it all takes. book it into one place wait until they are finihed then you have to wait to get it booked into the next place. I am over doing stuff myself now cos it takes way too long when you are hardly ever in Perth

Pipes were done at prestige in malaga. they have a mandrel bender now which is why i waited so long for the section to the mufflers but the results make the wait well worth it.

A bit of an update. Exhaust is complete and although looks pretty good, all mandrel bent & polished, it is still pumping out 97db with a slight rev. Engine is complete and runs very well.
In progress is the fuel tank which has taken its basic shape, just a few minor things to sort out before final welding. You can see a small sump at the front of the tank.
massive engine oil & trans oil cooleris in progress and will be complete shortly

G'Day Nathan
Hopefully one day my car will be up to the standard of yours and drivable!

The radiator hose fittings were custom made and are -20.
Bonnet catch is probably going ot be standard but I was thinking of modifying the nose cone so it covers that whole open area around the lower part of the bonnet catch.

Interesting news is that there is a possibility of me getting 335's for the back approved Legally!!!!!!!!!

Well the Trans and engine oil cooler is complete with hoses hidden in the chassis rails. The 315's fint in the rear tubs very nicely but need to get the diff shortened for a nice dish on the rear wheels. Have started to make a mould of the dash so I can make one out of carbon fibre, the dash will have custom speedhut gauges and still have the glove box also made from carbon. Ignition, fuel pump & fan controllers will all live inside there for easy access. Its just a matter of getting the time to do it all

I was told it was possible for mine and I think it is because there a lot of changes from original Torana including the rear section of chassis
BUT
You need to comply with ALL of the 2012 ADR's, I cant be bothered to go back and make any more changes.
Have you had any unwanted attention due to your rear tyres?

Dash is starting to get there, notice a pic of moots car in the background as motivation!

the dash will still have vents and glove box and is real carbon not laminated. the lower sections will be carbon laminated so it all matches. The glove box in now the power distribution box and will house all fuses etc

I like what you did with the gauges setup with the hi-beam and indicator lights etc. Are they speed hut brand gauges?

New wheels have arrived, cant wait to get back home to see them and get the tyres on. Not sure I like the fronts though, should be a bit more dish!

Mate I dont know how you have the patience to build a car for 7 years. Mine was out getting built for 15 months albeit not as extensive as yours and I was getting upset with how long it was taking. Nice build btw.
