We will be meeting at Mt Cootha at 9am for the cruise. :D

we did a walk of the track and the surface is far better than i imagined it would be by now. all the armco looks usable and with a good slasher and few bobcats the place could clean up really well.
hopefully with the deputy mayor in attendance and elections nearby(the mayor is retiring) some good will come from the days turn out.
was a shame that some dont understand that a major reason behind the desire to reopen the track is to get people to have a REAL go and not drop skids on the street.
a few little boys making a heap of noise is just what "the cause" doesnt need.

yeah was a great turnout! huge amounts of cars and bikes, and lots of different sorts of cars and bikes, from porsches, to lamborghinis, to capris, skylines, falcons, commodores, and of course there were a few torries :P

yeah walkin the track was great, and i disagree arrimar, yeah its not THAT bad, compared to our roads, but dont really think its worthy of racing on it yet, but QR does have the tender to open it up again for business, so im sure a resurface is inevitable.

great day, and huge turnout thanks to scott and the guys at LMRE for organising this.

all i said was its far better than some pics i saw years ago of proper pot holes.
we all agree that a resurface is necessary

How about some old racing shots of lakeside in the day ?

I have some great memories as a kid when my Dad use to take me there to watch.
