Hi... can anyone tell me if LJ wipers are supposed to return to rest? If they are, mine dont ! Can anyone tell me what could be going on ?

yes theyre meant to.
Does it not on both speed settings?
might be time for a "new" wiper motor.

yes they do the brass earth strap causes an earth for them to self park also if you have had the motor apart there is a small ball bearing that falls out and they wont park also

ok.. thanks guys ... both those awnsers a lot, as i got the motor in pieces, and didnt see any ball bearings when i put it back together.. Also the brass strip is not on there, so that is also a problem.... 
i will try and chase up another motor... Thanks for your help....
