I'm pretty sure 69 GTR's don't have headrests, problem is that I have a set with headrests and just wondering if these seats can be modified into GTR seats, or is there any other differences that I am unaware of.
They look the same every where else.

just pull the headrests out i would say, get the top retrimmed to cover the holes.

If you are after accuracy, the seats are different. LJ seats have provision for headrests LCs don't (LCs predate ADR-22. In addition the LC pleats go across and the LJs lengthwise. Post your email if you want pictures.

all lc's were low backs ( no headrest )
looking at the lj seats the base is slightly wider but that is probably only packing, you should have no probs covering over headrest holes.

Can't find any mention of head rests in the parts manual. POPS-SS had a head rest that fitted over the top of the seat if I remember correctly, but not sure if it was a Holden item or an after market item.

I used to have those ones that fitted over the top of the seat on my GTR many years ago - I got them from Brians Speed Shop. In any event - ADR22 says that " A clip-on type is unacceptable".
