Ok i just bought a cheapie tacho (not 5inch lol) for powercruise so i can keep an eye on revs as my tacho dash doesnt work....

its a speco tacho - yes i know they arent as good as autometer but i cant afford the $400 for a decent one - and it doesnt have a ring to go round the steering column its just got a base with 2 screw holes.

Where can i mount this as i dont really wanna cut up alot of my car and i was gonna have it on the column offset to the left (wen ur looking at it) so it would go over the factory tacho, but the mounting base is half on the plastic collar and half on that metal bit towards the steering wheel.

so any suggestions on how to mount it? or where or should i be making a bracket for it to go round the column or something.

Any help would be great.

Mount it on the steering column with a big hose clamp.

Perhaps you could the instrument cluster out of your dash and get the tacho in your dash fixed? Would save stuffing around and end up a better result.
