hey on one of my threads a member said that a S/B chev fuel pump would fit on my 186 just wanted to know if any chev s/b one would fit if I have to get a certain type? and I guess it would be helpful to know the flow rate for a standard red 186 pump

cheers guys

Don't forget if using this fuel pump for your proposed blow thru set up it will need to be boost referenced.

hey I am pretty new to engine tech what does boost referenced mean, I am guessing it has somethink to do with when the turbo kicks in the fuel flow at boost?

So what are these Chev pumps worth in Aussie dollars in an Aussie store?

have a look in a parts peddler, usualy about $50.

superlowuc: yes thats basicaly boost referenced. it uses a special fuel pressure reg with a diaphram in it, as the boost comes on the fuel flow/pressure gets upped. not cheep brother, but there good.

oh, and just for the record, the motor that it's on in those picks is the 202 i'm rebuilding. it ran 12.9 with that pump....so they can hadle a bit atleast. i personaly recon it would be worth a lot more than that, but i'll never test it. the 202 in it's newly born state will probalby never see more than a high 13.
