For the first time ever, I was a little disappointed with the Historic race on sunday morning. Only 16 starters, 11 finishers, sure the 2 Camaros and 2 Stangs at the front were close but after that things dropped off a bit. No offence to the teams/drivers, I know first hand how hard it is to make a car go fast around a racetrack and good on them for being out there, but 16 cars at an event like the 500 is a bit slack - and not a single Torana.

There was 1 Torana at the meeting. #59 Chris Wilson.
Car is brand new and had some teething problems.
Unfortunately the new Touring Car Masters(Biante) rules don't favour the Torana much. So I doubt you will see too many out there. I believe that Trevor Talbot has a new car under construction. Other than those 2 cars, I don't think there has been a franchise licece sold to another Torana runner. Mainly Mustang/Camaro land now I'm afraid....
If you want to see real historics(not hotrods) then group Nc is where it is at!
Cheers Greg..
