Can anyone assist with a supplier of quality linkage parts for my Webers?

Gave it a rev on the way back from Toranafest yesterday and the throttle settings moved - AGAIN :<_<: A nasty and difficult drive in the traffic followed with an unhappy car and a hot & grabby ceramic clutch plate.

I'm after a Hex main throttle shaft, and race quality bell cranks, links and levers.

I found this on the web - http://kinsler.com/C...4_screen22.html

A a supplier in the US (Kinser Racing) but no on-line shopping so somewhere local to me (Sydney area) or on-line shop would be great.

Thanks,

Craig.

Many thanks, had a look at Redline and Lynx and they both only seemed to show the tin plate type - this is what I have now and they are crap. I'll give Redline a call tomorrow.

Cheers,

Craig.

I visited the suggested supplier last week (thanks HSV484 :spoton: ) but its all too complicated. He had to order it all in from someone else, would take 'a few days I suppose' - I need to find the person/company he was going to buy from!!

I don't have time to go back and forth with a million measurements and he didn't seem keen to have the car to sort it all out for me. Was very helpful with info otherwise.

Tried Redline and Lynx but no good. Only sell pressed steel crap.

Still looking for a supplier of cast or billet throttle arms like this:

Posted Image

I can locally source the metal heim joints no problem but can only seem to find the throttle arms overseas.

Posted Image

At a car show on the weekend I found that the exact arms I need are used on blowers and injection hats - anyone know where I can get them?

Thanks,

Craig.

Thanks Milco, there's a few in the US, on ePay (US) as well.

Dale Wilch - eBay

Dale Wilch Catalogue

Pierce Manifolds

Lynx

Would just prefer someone local if possible.

Thanks again Milco, Sumidel was no good, tried them last week.

The Pentastar stuff is expensive compared to the US based stuff, but will give me the answer I'm looking for.

Your help and interest is appreciated.

Cheers,

Craig.

mmm the price is not to bad considering the redline kit cost's about $190ish and most people have problems with it, i got a lynx kit $80 brand new for the complete set up.

Hey Craig,

I just seen this thread. If that linkage kit doesn't work for you, have a talk to Alan..hes at 240 Parramatta Road (next to the bus depot entrance is coming from the city because of no right turn going towards it). He does the workshop stuff at Carburettor Service Co.

He's a genius with linkages as Louie (PurpleLC). I will get mine done by him if this bracket I'm fabbing doesn't work out.

His number is 9747 4066 ... He's in Sydney (I think you are too?)

Cheers
James

Hi James,

Thanks, I forgot about CSC as they've moved round the back of the building. Drive past there everyday too :fool:

I'm OK with setting up just couldn't get the right bits. I noticed you show in your signature 'Western Sydney'. I'm a westie too - Mt Druitt man  Now at Northmead.

Cheers,

Craig.

My car is working most of the time - was out at my favourite factory area yesterday doing some intense driveline evaluation work :D

Diff was making some strange noises at completion of 'testing' so am sourcing a reco 3.55 fine spline LSD to replace the 3.08 factory one. Should be a bit pokier.

A good place to see a few guys will be the Mc Happy Day that the Sydney Torana guys are holding in November. I'm not a member but am going over to take a look. Was at the Idle Wild show at Prospect on Sunday and saw WHY-PSI but got talking to a guy I knew and missed him. Was really interested to hear about his blown 6cyl.

P.M me when you get your car running and we'll catch up.

Cheers,

Craig.
