Looks beefy. Just got my accelerator cable bracket today...mounted it on the engine just then...didn't seem to fix the cable being pulled with the engine movement.
Hows it drive? Or you changing the ratio first?

Will change the ratio probably tomorrow night after work.
My cable is still pulling the rear carby only, but will soon make a bracket so it centre pulls. Could you post up pics of yours?

I'll post up a few pics tomorrow. Too lazy to go outside with the bloody moths (where did they all come from!!).
If you wanna do that (centre) don't you need to take apart the linkages again?
Mine does the same. Might have to go to CSC and get Alan to rig it for me. Couldn't be bothered anymore. I just wanna drive.

Will have to pull linkages back apart, but its very straightforward and easy to set up. I have a carby balancer which makes final settings simple.
I'm interested in your centre pull setup if you do work it out. Do you think your cable outer sheath might be too short, causing your problem under engine movement?
The outer sheath could be running out of travel so the centre cable it moving, in turn upping the revs 'automatically'.
I've also spent a bit of fiddling round making an accelerator pedal stop so I can set the pedal's top position level with brake and clutch, so fully depressed it completely opens the throttle plates but doesn't drive the linkages out of adjustment. Its really just a door stopper screwed to the floor but adjustable for height.
Looking forward to seeing your linkage setup. Beware of the moths
Cheers,
Craig.

Yeah I believe its a problem with the sheath now. The rubber grommet that sits inside the 'U' part of the bracket is split for one...I still have it set up to pull from the rear...though my linkages are quite thick so there is no twist.
To pull mine apart I need to remove the manifolds too - thats why I opted to fab a new bracket up rather than take it apart. Centre the "puller" then have a upwards bracket off an extractor.
Genius about the door stopper idea lol.
I will go buy a new sheath tomorrow. And take some photos hopefully of it fixed.
