I dunno about everyone else but I dont find the term "Bogan" derogatory or offensive at all. I happily admit that I am a Bogan.

But what makes me a Bogan? I have two Torana's, my weekend attire is Flano's, ripped and oil stained levi's and Ugg boots, I love AC/DC, Cold Chisel, Aussie Crawl etc, my beverage of choice is beer etc.

But by day I am a suit, Ive never done a trade in my life, I have no tatts and my dogs are Jack Russells, not Staffy's or Heelers.

Am I a try hard bogan then?

What do youse reckon?

I wore nothing but Flannos way back when... I probably still would... but my Mon-Fri workwear is supplied, so I'll get dirty doing whatever in that!
All Aussie classic stuff like Oils, Chisel, Crawl, Gurus, Acca Dacca, etc... hang on, still listening to it.
Ugg boots? ah... nup, never.
Had my share of Desert Boots though.
Two tatts, one Oils with Aussie flag, other my two boys' names inside Southern Cross.
Have a black and white Staffy called Lizzie (if She was a He, her name woulda been Buckley)
So obviously a Pies man!
Would rather watch a godd Aussie movie than Yank, crap. (Castle, Kenny, Running on Empty, Best of Paul Hogan etc)

Owned 3 Torries, a one tonner, HK sedan, coupla Dunnydores.
So yeah, I'm a Bogan at Heart...and I'm 38!!!

Yeah, I'm a bogan

I get into a beater whenever possible, bare foot most of the time, and, when I'm not locked away at Boarding School I'll quite happily live on beer and pies :spoton:

Plan on getting into diesel mechanics, I own more Toranas than I do limbs, and there's a fairly good chance that I'll get a tattoo in the not too distant future...

I reckon it all comes down to what era ya grew up in.

My brother is 3 years older than me and I went thru my 13 > 16 years of age hanging around with him.

All his mates were into old holdens, flannel shirts, beer, pizza bars, AC/DC, Led Zep, Angels, back yard barbies, mullets, frizzy perms, surfboards strapped to the roof trips to the beach, dope (never anything harder), piss up at the parents house, brother was in a band with regular jam sessions. AND I learnt to drive in a torana.

I will load some pics of me and my bros mates in my bogan years, I just picked out a few laughing all the time.

Well I classify myself as a bogan and I'm proud of it!
-I own a HQ Kingwsood, a HSV Enhanced VP SS
-A Southern Cross tattooed on my right arm
-A dalmatian for a dog
-I'm in the Rural Fire Service (changing to NSW Fire Brigades soon)
-I consider myself a beer and pie expert
-I love dragon, acca dacca, chisel, the angels, the who, beatles etc
-My dress of choice is wifey, shorts and thongs
-I'm a multi talented musician who can play drums, guitar and bass.

I think I'm bogan

Sure am a bogan and proud of it. Mon-Fri im an insurance broker but on the weekend im a beer, footy, cars, music expert. Me and my mates can talk footy and music for a whole week if we had enough beer. Nothing beats crusing with your mates with ACDC, Chisel, Aussie Crawl, etc pumping or having a quiet one (or two or three...) up the local during the day and putting some bets on.

being a bogan is heaps better than being a wanker, emo, nerd, etc

I would never dream of having a mullet, never had one when they were "cool".

I would have a mullet, but nowadays they have been adapted to dirty metro fags who haven't come out of the closet yet. So I keep my hair relatively short and simple.

I listen to all the necessary bogan music, wear wifebeaters all the time, but rarely flannies. Mainly army disposal clothing lol

Obviously my beverage of choice is beer. Everyone at my school reckons I'm a complete bogan but I wouldn't agree.

I hate trackies, footy shorts, ugg boots, thongs and the sun.

I love my ugg boots. Don't bother with thongs (just go barefoot...). I had a mullet for 3 days last year (No. 2 on everything except the back

). Had a pair of ugg boots a while back that me and a mate sprayed with deodorant, and lit up :spoton:

They were old and worn out. Was great fun

Well if i like listening to heavy metal drinking copius amounts of Bundy and Beer owning cars like toranas :spoton:

commodores V8 Hiluxs, have red heeler X with staffy and is named Rocky, have 2 pairs of ugg boots 10 flanys and go out shooting well i think i might be one. :rockon:

Well I don't classify myself as a bogan but plenty of people call me a 'westie' because I drive and own a couple of torana's. 'Westie' is a common term used in Sydney to describe people from the outer western suburbs sort of like working class man.

I've got two dogs, two kids, one commodore and two toranas (oh yeah and one wife) so maybe I am a bogan.

Doesn't really matter what people call me, I'm happy with my life.

yeah i suppose im a bogan.

bit partial to singlets, beer, chisel, acdc, pies, and have a torana tattoo. have owned three toranas all up, currently two.

but i also ride crotch rockets, drive a bmw and rarley wear flannys anymore, so i might be loosing my boganness....
