Hey ppl just looking for some advice on what carby to run on my torry. Whats the best carby to suit a 253 with mild cam and extractors? I currently have a 4 barrel quady with mechanical secondaries and i find that it gets way too much fuel. Ive been told by some that with a change of carby the motor will feel like a different engine. Some have said to go a 600 holley with vac secondaries? Maybe the quaddy needs to be played with? jet sizes? tuning etc? Just want to know what carb ppl have run in the past and worked best on a stock/mild 253.

cheers

The quadrajet will work well if properly set up, or a 465 holley 4 barrel vac/sec, would work ok.
the 600 is a bit big for a mild 253 ( particularly if your worried about fuel economy)
