I was about to dismantle my UC steering rack to install a new Noltec bush N11049 kit but when I removed rubber boot and looked inside I realised the old bush was very different and wondered if I had the correct part.
Am I looking at the correct thing, Is this the right bush?

I did look in forum but my searches came back emtpy. Maybe a poor choice of keywords, but if someone can point me to a previous relevant topic, please do so.

The Noltec bush is hexagonal on the inside, where all the friction will be.
I called Repco to see if they had Red Rangers(Nolathane) equivalent kit part # KIT31K and they had it listed at $86. I said "What!" The noltec kit cost me $10.
I called Nolathane Tech support to see what this kit contains and they didnt know because they dont produce the kit anymore(not part of current product range) and had no archival information either. The tech knew nothing and was simply reading the current book or web site.
With the current growth in restorations these days I would have thought a product like this would be in demand and a sellable item again. Instead they drop them from the product line.
Anyway, if anyone has some picks of there kit or alternate or availabilty please let me know.
