On watching the old videos..it is clearly apparent that the fronts tyres are smaller in width than the rear tyres on the period L34 and A9x...I am wondering why the current Historic racers insist on running the same size tyres on the front and rear?....Anyone? I am reffering to the Gough car at Sandown plus a few others..

not really when you think about it welby as you would need a set of wets as well and most of the time you just groove them as inters then if its really raining you add more grooves for a full wet. and the r specs should last longer and you just need one set for the wet and the dry. if you buy a new set for the wet you just use them as your dry tyres next time.cheers tony

I can see your thinking Tony.
I was merely comparing dollar for dollar, but you definately have a point.

Can't say the R specs we used in Targa were much chop in the wet though. And the R psecs on my STi aren't better.

What is the best 15 x8 wet in your opinion.
