[B]can anyone tell me if an oil sender unit part no. 7429181 (which is being advertised for an GTR ) will fit a LX V8 as I am trying to replace one and i can't seem to find any.

Whats the part number of the one you need?
I have a couple (when I find them, just moved)

i am not sure on the part number. all i need is a sender to suit a guage not a light.

The LC/LJ ones work in reverse to the LH/LX ones. They are different. Check out the RareSpares website for the correct one.
