what yellow colours were '70LC?
and were they available in gtr, gtrxu1 only or all models?

Hi,
I don't know any of the colours but I'm looking at painting my LJ the bright yellow from 2000 onward Hyundia Exel. Really hits you in the eye.

yellow dolly is a 70 colour (Dulux shade # 12572)

yeah well thats my cars original colour. im just trying to check if it was standard issue or possibly a gtr colour.
when i bought my car it was v8 equipped,but now i have learned a bit more about the finer points regarding gtr's and xu1's it seems to have all the goodies????????

yellow dolly was a gtr and xu1 colour.

what makes you think urs is something special? first thing would be to check the tags, but as most people know, theres other ways of checking..

i only have 1 tag and the car has a police/conversion number stamped on it so tag identification will be sketchy at best.

its just that its original colour is dolly yellow and it had all gtr gear including bathurst tank.

it meant nothing to me when i bought it,i hated that shitty tank lol!

so if anyone can confirm that dolly yellow was NOT available on stocker models i will be pretty damn sure that my car is a gtr

Toll Yellow was also an LC colour, but not sure if its a 70 one or not

!970 LC Colours included Yellow Dolly 12572 and would have been available on any LC as special orders were always available beyond the standard listings.

This colour was not available in 1969 and was not listed for 1971 cars, however it may well have been available by special order for 71 cars. Colour alone will not determine if it is a GTR.

Check if the front guards are original. That will confirm a GTR if not also an XU1. What Tag do you have?

the tag i have says
lc 2 door
8/70
lc 14607b

the guards are genuine.
it has gtr interior,dash,bathurst tank, original yellow paint.
it had been converted to lj a long time ago and 350 chev equipped.
a police number was issued at the time but i still have this 1 plate.
