hi all , i have heaps of this trim material and dont know what it is off. i was told HQ statesman. anyone know ? its gold and black.

Looks to me to be GMH cloth insert. Was available in LH range as well. The name escapes me but i think it starts with R. :rolleyes: They use to dye it so the gold wasnt always apparent.

yes its 100% gmh cause it came from a old dealer. i think it came in other colours aswel. the HQ monaros also had something like this.

sure its not brougham?, i no there was some diff odd trim that wasnt often seen, i cant picture it and i havent seen it

or have forgoten :rolleyes:

Is it vinyl or a fabric?

No not Ranier. I have Radio i my head but not right. Close to it. Gary from Eastern Upholstery told me the name a while back.

its fabric material, its been sitting up in my roof longer than i can remember. every christmas when i get the christmas stuff down i say i must do something with all this.

graham i wrecked a late hq a couple of years ago that had that same trim..it was a 9/74 so last month of production...kingswood sedan with an armrest front bench......is it rayon?....how much of it have you got?

enough to do 4 or 5 cars

Made a few inquiries and it is called Flax Radox. Available in Black and white and dyed like this one gold using a specific dye that stays on the nylon in the fabric and not the rayon.
Available in HQ Kingswood and small numbers in LH 1974 and HJ GTS 1975.
