OK, don't blame me, LXChev366 started it with this pearler:-

Posted Image

Here is another stunning 17 year old, a Young Yella (circa 1984):-

Posted Image

Side shot. Then girlfriend, now wife took the shots. Some things haven't changed over all that time, she still takes bad photo's, thank god we have a talented daughter!!!!

Posted Image

^ eventually got black 7" hotwires, but the only photo I have of it with them is with the silverfish.

My mates car, he was smart enough not to get in the shot, however he is in one of the Torana Power Mags (Toranavista, can you scan his mug pic with the car?):-

Will make the current young fellas cry, but my mate bought every single damn part, knob and switch brand new from Holden when he did up that SS. Even back then, it was the last few of those things they had.

Oooh, yeah. Was just mentioning to Tiny, if ya look closely you can see the front seats reclined, and it had the LH pump up rear shocks. The car was fully sick and went much faster with it's ass up in the air.

While so much changes, so much stays the same. Although damn glad we didn't have shopping lists in them days.

Where's the young blond bombshell supermodel there Tinks? It's suppose to be as much as what you looked like back then as well as your car.

Ok Yella... :tease: give me some credit... yes this car went from this(1981)
Posted Image

to this...(1984)

Posted Image

I tried finding that 70's shot of me with the XA...but cant find it.. I did however find me standing next to a Trans Am in Hawaii.. will post soon (Trans am isnt mine btw)

Oh and a little side issue...the Honey Brown Datsun 1600 behind me was a famous Summernats car....If you have been a regular at the Summernats burnouts you should remember Terry Brown's "DATSEZY" yep the very same car...he has had it for ages...he finally sold it after about 25 years not long after his daughter died who he had given it to, but never really got to drive it... very sad story. Actually the above shot of my Torana is in his driveway.

Heya Peter, this isn't so much about the cars, but more how young, energetic and.....well daggy we looked way back then. Apologies if I gave the wrong impression, but it's not about your car this time. That red car was nice. Was this transformed into #60 or different car altogether?

Talking of incriminating pics, I have one up of Tinks at 16 .................. Bwahahahaha (evil laugh).

No the red car above was a LH L32 SLR which I sold in 1988 and the #60 is a LX S 202 and was bought in 2003, both Manderine Red and with Ford mirrors. Go figure

:D No probs mate...I know its about us...I was trying to save face...sure I was daggy but look at what I created !! I dont care really, I recon its all good...at least we experienced these things when we were young...muscle cars rock...just like my other car you got to see on the weekend... hey mate.. :D

I dug up a couple of oldies of mine too
This is my original yellow hatch (orig 202 auto from factory. 253 4spd when I bought it 308 auto when stolen) the first weekend after I bought it
Sorry for the daggy pics but thats all thats left in the old suitcase under the bed
The first pic is the one I keep in my wallet to this day.
Sadly this car was stolen 26 Jan 1989 and never recovered.

2 hatches from the local GHM owners day late 80's if I recall. And one green hatch from the old Ravenswood drag racing days

Posted Image

And just to show I'm not totally biased towards hatches.... which I am
A couple of LJ's at the same show

Sheep skin and flared guards on LJ's was very popular in the 80's, along with gun metal metalic spray jobs.

You can blame the Smokey and the Bandit movies for this shot.
Me in Hawaii in 1979 standing next to a @77 Trans Am and beside that a late 70's Mustang. I was getting on the boat to visit the Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbour.

Ironically I bought a 70 Model Pontiac Firebird Furmula 400 (fitted with a Pontaic 455) 4 years later whilst stationed in Seatle Washington USA. I was there for 15 months. The car cost me $1900 and I sold it for $1500 when I left (Apr 84)...then Paul Keating devalued the dollar at that turned it into @$2200 Aus :spoton:  Good on him for doin that!! The sale of this car was put towards the buildup of the Red LH in my earlier post..

What a mutant website? Chopper has no ears, Knoath envisages himself with no hair, and Datto has no head? What's going on? Show us your mug!
