Cross member Out of car assembly

Hey all,

Well i pulled my front end outa the hatch again, Wasnt happy with the paint so decided to respray it,

One question, I have seen a fair few people on this forum re assemble the whole front end out of the car, How the hell do you get the front springs compressed enough to fit them back in,

The spring compressor i have fouls on the Spring tower of the cross member,

Who's done this and Can you please share with us how you compressed the springs :spoton:

I have used threaded rod from Bunnings and a steel plate to fit the springs.

You fella's are absolute champs :party:

Its something so simple that always can do a job the best,
Being a mechanic theres so many tools out on the market we just rely on buying the tool for the job, I didnt even think of something as simple as a plate and threaded rod.
