Well, I thought it was about time for another update, I havn't done one since the forums went down.
since then I have done all the bodywork and primer, but the big news is today I sprayed the top coat! its not perfect, but I am happy withit for my first time spraying.
the car is the same colour as it used to be,

Far out dude, you don't muck around do you! Looking fantastic I reckon. The first time my car got painted, I ended up sanding it back again too for a second blow-over (But I made the mistake of using acrylic undercoat and then handing over to the panel shop for the 2-pak top coat), still got away with it in the end. What were you unhappy about with yours? Looks great in the pic, but I guess it's only a small pic! Are you painting acrylic or 2-pak? Clear or just colour?

Keep up the good work, and keep the pics coming....

PS. Now that you're moving down to St.Kilda you won't have time to work on the torrie anymore, you'll be too busy going out having fun and chasing girls around I bet :spoton:

Lookin' forward to seeing you and the car at Heathcote.

Cheers
Brett.

well, i just finished laying another 2 coats over her and Im much happier now, last time I got a couple o runs and a few moisture bubbles, but this time its much better. not to bad for someone who has never painted a car before, using a compressor that would pre-date my parents, spraying 2k in a back yard!
yeah Brett, your right wont even have the torry down there, its easier to chase the girls on foot!

EDIT: the wheels are cragar prostars (i think)
15x6 front (195/60), 15x7 back (225/60).

just a quick update, I got the roof lining in on the weekend, we also bled the brakes, much happier now. the screens should be going in today, that leaves me this weekend to finish it off before the drag day at heathcote. I have just got a few little fiddly things to do, like door locks and seat belts to go, as long as the lights all work!
the best part is I have got a 4 day weekend so I am heading home on thursday for some serious car work!
