I remember when they were building the car for the promotion.
We all bought extra tubs of max's protein to win it ,

The bodybuilder next to the car is a mate , that's Matt McLean , he was a pro bodybuilder at the time,
Max's cartoon on the tubs was Matt as well

The hatch is awesome
Great to see its still in great nick and still being cared for

Yes I have a thing for blue hatches

Thanks for the offer. I do have a copy of the Street Machine magazine. I contacted the company that gave the car away seeking some information and during the discussion I was offered the various promotional posters they used plus a T shirt. The posters now hang in my shed.

The Black one, i have no idea who owns it, i found the pic one day, love it, looks tough.

There was a really tough Orange LX hatch around Wollongong about 10-15 years ago, had EVL-076 plates on it. It sounded tough, and apparently went really hard, but have heard no more about it.

Yeah that's Black Dice (Brendan) have seen it on the coast here, its a nice hatch, and built it exactly the way he wanted it.

Nah Liam, he still has it, he changed the webbers a for fuel injection system, Corvette one if I remember correctly

Yeah he had it up for sale but changed his mind, (good move I thought) saw him at coolie rocks on, so unless he's sold it since then, he still owns it

Here's a photo of how my grey SS looks now.

Hopefully will look similar to Nathans yellow hatch when it gets resprayed back to yellow (original colour) later this year.

My Favourite

Cottillion white A9X hatch at Sydney Motor Show many years ago

Only had a few K's on it from brand new

- didn't lug the slr around (camera that is) back then :-)

Here's another one.

This car was owned by Mark Daniels from Melbourne. A Twin Turbo 308 with Predators. A beautiful and very well Engineered car of the time. We split victories of the Victorian Street Machine & Hot Rod Show "Overall Top Cars" around 1988 ish.
