Hi, just trying to find out what this trim code means.

1890 18R

I know 18 stands for black.

As for the R, I have heard of trim codes ending in A, B, V, X and Y, but never R.

Can someone out there shed some light for me???????

Hi

A bit of Googling finds reference to LX Toranas having "Rainier Trim" - It doesn't go into any detail about what it is precisely but it may be a clue. I am sure others can add more info.

Carnt say i have heard of it either. Yes it is black and most likely a cloth insert material. The letters never corresponded to a particular material ie 18X could be either Ranier or Houndstooth. Therefore i think at best your can only hope to determine if it was a cloth insert. I guess if any of the original trim is still present then the question is answered. Would like to know what that R stands for as well.
