HI EVERYONE I AM KNEW TO THIS ,WE OWN A L34 WHICH WAS SPRAYED WHITE MANY YEARS AGO ,BUT WAS ORIGINALLY SAFFRON IN COLOUR.DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THAT COLOUR WAS AND HOW MANY WERE PRODUCED IN THAT COLOUR.

Yes, i believe Saffron is pretty rare. I know 1 member BCR-42Y who's SLR should be Saffron. i also saw an SLR at Toranafest last year in saffron and its a light metallic orangey/gold colour (if that helps). Pretty sure BCR-42Y has a few pics of the colour, maybe shoot him a PM or email??
PS - if you take caps lock off on your keyboard people wont think you are SHOUTING at them.

Ultra Blue (current colour of my car) was my favourite until I spotted that LH at Toranafest last year, it has encouraged me to ensure that when the car is rebuilt it will be the factory colour again.
Some additional photo's of how it looks like in the sunlight, remember that this car has factory paint on it.
When the time comes, mine will be painted to resemble an L34 as it already has flares/spoilers on it.

In terms of L34 know of 1 saffron in QLD and one in Vic - one of which i think is metallic. Nice colour!

Think I heard some where recently that car makers put vinyl on the roof when there was a paint issue to hid the problem rather than strip it and paint again.
It could be an urban myth, not 100% sure thou/ Could be a dealer request too?

Thats a myth, there is a bit of work involved in fitting a vinyl roof.
They were a common thing in the 70's-80's.
Most people fit a vinyl roof after there car has had hail damage, instead of repairing it, more an 80's thing.
BTW the roof looks terrible, I'd take it off and paint it.

I like the look of that car, and it would be rare as.

mate she's only a little TA, had lc lights but changed em back to TA lights for last years Toranafest for originality.
Not all TA's are ugly, but they are gutless, lol.

No mate the car was traded on a HZ wagon in mid 78 and the dealership removed it for a quicker sell.Is it still on the car arrimar??
