ok, my mags are 8.5 15's (i said 8's dodgy tyre salesperson ordered 8.5)
did originally have 255/50 radial T/A's ( i know there feral in the rain but it didnt concern me much because i was the same ;) ). There no longer available and all ive been able to get is re-treads that are really bodgy. Gonna need tread soon so im up for suggestions, i cant get the mag anymore because they are also no longer made and 60's make it sit up like a moon buggy, the best i found in a 255/50 is a semi-racing tyre and i wouldnt mind tyres that lasted a little bit longer than what they would.
Thanks in advance guys!
EDIT: most likley wont respond over the weekend, REDA9X has inadvertanly gave me a mission. Catch ya monday.

i guess the big thing is how much you want to spend on a tyre ....

my choice would be a bridgestone Potenza GIII

they come in: 225/50/15

For 8.5" rims, I'd go up to 265/50's. That's what I run. Have always used BFGoodrich T/A's, however I heard these are no longer available now, but I do know there are a couple of alternatives in this same size - Sumitomo?? is one, can't remember the other, possibly some Hankook one..??

I would go for these, rather than having to go up to a 60 profile..

Also, although they'd be more pricey, I think you can still get Yokohama Radial 352's in this size too... and I believe they're a softer tyre than BFG's.

I have always used either

Bridgestone
Yokohama
Michelin

These tyres are light years ahead of BFG's radial ta in wet or dry.

thanks guys, im gonna bail up the local tyre guy and MAKE him go threw the books.
CHEV: i already push it with 255's, 265 would definatly scrape i can only just get my index finger between the guard and the tyre.
