HI

i am doing a rear main on my 179 and a few other things, i was just wondering if ahyone has the tourqe settings( con rods, caps , head etc) for them?
Or are they the same as a 202 or 186 ?

Also the head hs screw in studs, but hyro lifters so i would just set the clearance to 0 hey?

cheers

Torque setting the same as 202 and 186.
Adjust rockers in firing order until they just bind (rotate push rod as you tighten) will need further adjustment running.

you want to tighten the rockers up so if you were to 'spin' your pushrods whilst tightening, you would have just lost the ability to spin them by hand.... Any more and its too much stress on the valve train...
