"Hi guys. my first car was an lj 2 door back in 1981 i bought it from a car yard in bankstown. it was glacier white with black trim. it had the gtr dash fitted. gtr steering wheel. m20 four speed and the nibbless rims. 2850 motor. late 73 model. i remember someone saying gmh made a special batch of 2 door S models with a lot of gtr parts on them. and i know one raced at bathurst in 72 or 73. can anyone shed some light. rc"

My car is 4/72 Melb. car with tan interior. It has a GTR dash but I don't know if it's factoty fit? It has an amp. guage, didn't late ones have a volt guage?

Sorry to dissappoint R.C. but I felt compelled to clear this up.

And now for a bit of comtroversay. This is my 2door LJ from the 70's/80's. Yes it is an LJ with an LH front. It was modified in 1980/81. I put it into the smash repairs to have the guards flared and a respray. The guy found a magazine on the floor of the car which was advertising fitting the new commodore front to 'other' cars. He originally wanted to fit the commodore front, but it woldn't line up, so he decided to put on the LH front on it, He also flared the guards, molded in a hatchback rear spoiler, an A9X bonnet scoop and front spoiler. I can't find a picture with the bonnet scoop and spoiler on it. Well, anyway I thought it looked great at the time and I still do. Everything was modified in the 80's to set your car apart from the rest. I know this car will not go down well with those against modifying cars, but it was a long time ago.

Hey there Torana Freaks!!

Does anyone know the owner of the burgundy LJ GTR-355 from Woolongong? From the picture, I think he's 1st name is Robert.

I would like to know if he would be interested in selling it, and if so, how much he would like for it?

My name is Errol and I am in Perth. I can be reached on [email protected],

Thanks Everyone :spoton:

Everything is for sale at a price, I spose, but the price on that car would be quite substantial. One of my favourite LJ's.

Many excellent cars here but noticed there are very few in "Plumdinger", was this colour rare or is it people don't like it?
another 12 months and I should be able to add a couple

for some reason i reckon Lc's look better with big wheels.
like BIGROB's car. i guess because lc's are more squished so the big wheels give them that tuff cartoony 'short and fat' look.
anyone else agree.

i always thought these; Posted Image
or these Posted Image
would look good on an lc.

too bad i don't have any pics of them with tyres on for phtoshop purposes....
anyone wanna have a try regardless?
pick any lc in the thread.

wow. i searched hard and came up with one pic.
Posted Image
not very big though

WAIT i found another one.
Posted Image
bad quality though.

I was trying to find a pic of Grant O'rourkes yellow LJ Torana drag car with the PSI blown small block. Worlds fastest small block sedan. No luck finding any pics unless anyone else has some.
