Hi All.
It looks like there was a real good turn out at the show.
Its great to see so many pictures posted up from the event, It gives us out of state people a chance to see what was there.
If anyone took pictures of the HQ SS's that were there I would really appreciate a copy of those pictures.
If anyone has any I can be contacted at [email protected] and I would like to post them at this place https://cache.gmh-to.../nn14/HQSS1972/
that I have put together for the HQ SS owners group that I am part of.
They will be put in the other SS's section.
If that is ok, I will give credit to the owners of the pictures when they are posted on the site.
Thanks Paul.

Well i went out for a look. Got there about 10.30, didnt see anyone around the traps though! saw a few members cars on show.

I must say though,

I was extremely pissed off at the traffic management (or lack of) we sat for 2 hours in traffic to just leave the car park, then after sitting for over an hour and a half, they started letting entrants out, and stopped the people who had been qued for hours from going.

They could have ran the cars out one for one (one competitor, 1 spectator etc) but they didnt. people were too bloody pushy.

And then to cap it off, we didnt get to the boat show as we spent too long in traffic and the outdoor marina would have been shut by the time we got there.

I wont be rushing back in a big hurry, and im sure anyone who was a first timer at the show (for a look or in the event) will think twice after that little disaster.

It was slow, this was compounded , by the closures of one end of the exit road ,(not closed by the AHD Committee) this meant all traffic had to leave in the same direction . apart from that ,did you enjoy the cars ?

Cars were good, but the only thing i see with the AHD is that after going every year for 4 years (i think) most of the cars become a bit stale. Sure there were some nice ones, but IMO If i was plannning to go back in a hurry i would only be going every second year.

There was a nice centrifugal S/C LX? sedan there, very very nice setup.

We went as first timers and we had a little traffic problems but not much at all. We must have left at the right time :D The cars were great, a little bit of everything and everyone was very friendly.

OrangeLJ ,That is right ,at most shows ,we try to vary our cars , after twice viewing the same car, I tend to walk past it after that also. The cars that got me this year ,were the ones that still retained their old number plates, and of course the UC's not many of them there yesterday .The entrants also had a long wait and queue back to the stage area when leaving. But I'll be back next year ,hopefully with something different ,and a little less standard .
