Want a good job but am not interested in paying $10k as some shops have suggested.
I think my panelbeater has lost interest due to sickness/injury etc and he cannot get another panelbeater to help him with the workload.
My original quote weld in flutes, spray etc was $4k (have paid $1500) (note i did all the bare metalling, cut rust out, supplied replacement panels etc) so it was actually weld in replacement panels, straighten ripples and paint.
Anyone got any suggestions for a quality painter that doesn`t want the earth to do a good job?

Last quote I had done was in Brisbane for $10K and that was nearly 4 years ago so I'm guessing what I want done is alot higher again.

a $25,000 paint job is the profit margin.

I know of a painter that did a car at last count 7 times as he wasnt happy with the job so he redid it. The first few times even with him pointing out the blemishes you couldnt pick them.

I am sorry but I dont agree that $10k is the right amount for a car that basically need some ripples removed and painting - thats all.
Prior to all the work done i was quoted $10k by a couple of shops, that was with rust, 4000 layers of paint etc etc; all the hard work is done!
I think that $5000 a week is a little rich; thats assuming it`ll take 2 weeks which i dont think it would. (IMHO)
I may be wrong but if thats the case i`m going to do it myself; if i stuff it up then i can redo it and still be in front.
Panthervs - lol, I dont think i`ll give it a go - ha ha test bed Lj - i did see them but geez tooo cheap, thanks anyway.
I`m with u Tinks waiting for a reply.
A mate just let me know of a place so i`m going to see them in the next 2 weeks, i`ll let u guys know; he had a classic vintage car he got done and he was happy.
Cheers M. Ps please don`t slam me for my opinions - people seem to get a little overly passionate sometimes on here.
