some where ther will be a row of relays, start, efi, fuel pump and one other one i think so they shouldnt be hard to find.they wiil be joined to the main engine fuse which is joined to the alternator.so start at the alternator and you will find relay block.just double checking that the car has been running.

the previuos driver had accidently disconnected the wire that primes everything, making the system dead.now for some reason it starts but when the key goes back to on position it runs rough like it has a power drop, yet when he moves the key a little bit forward towards crank it runs like a dream.when the key is on there is 12volts at the ecu on the prime wire so i suspect it may be in the ig switch/barrel itself.if there is anyone who is up on this stuff any help would be good.last i spoke to ed,i told him to pull the plug off the ig switch and basically hot wire it.then if it runs correct the problem will be between the key and the plug.if it still runs rough it maybe the o2 sensor in the pipes.if this broken it runs for 10 secs and then runs rough again.

Maybe it's still running the resisted pink wire from the switch?

it is,as well as the yellow one.the relays plug into the existing engine harness plug.i am pretty sure it is a crs harness or one of those mobs.my brother uses one in is lj/304 and has no issues.if you think that the resistance wire may be doing this, could you let him know as i dont know what it does.the wire in my harness was melted so a new pink one was put in it place.by all acounts his car seems to be wired up properly and everything does what it is supposed to,when it is supposed to,so it is a bit of a tricky one.we will find out after he starts it without the ig switch and key.

Rob's half on the money, Dave i put a direct twelve volt feed to that other pink wire (the one in the engine bay) and ran smooth as! But atm its body work so ill play with wiring next week maybe, now its senders i have to sus for the gts dash, does that three pin oil psi switch do anything?
