Hi people,
I pulled out the windscreen in the torana yesterday and gues what i found... RUST :cry:

Yes, cut out the rusty sections and Mig in some new bits of steel, I've seen much, much, worse rust than that repaired.

dont panic thats bugger all,quite good for a torana really.as mylj said just cut it out and weld sections in,the best way ive found is to make the section first put it over the top then mark around it then cut out marked out section then do a final trim to make a nice fit then weld in i normaly treat with fish oil before and after welding ive done repairs this way and 15 years later not a wisper of rust again. you can buy new panel steel from most salvage yards or steel merchants its pretty cheap for a small sheet you can use anywhere from 0.6 to 1mm sheet up to you.also only use a mig or tig welder. no stick welders?
