Hi Guys Roam Tolling PTY LTD Melbourne debited my credit card for the trip to Toranafest.
Cost was $18.86 not too bad but I think the govt should pay for our roads out of our Road and excessive fuel taxes/excise
(what a nice word excise for an extra tax GST aside) :)

I am assuming thats for all roads and not just some.

Cheers
Herne

let me explain, at the time we were making plans to head to Toranafest there was some debate about paying tolls and being fully covered. Some were of the opinion that the M7 was covered and the M2 was run seperately!

The point of my thread was to notify those who were wondering that it seems I was covered for both roads under the one pass. :)

Of course I might still get a separate bill sent in but at this stage it seems not.

Hope this explanation helps.

cheers
Herne

You only pay to take the direct, nice new roads.

Problem is the Government is contraction out more and more road development instead of investing tax payer money in these capital works projects.

So the companies that build the roads impose the tolls on the roads to recoup the construction costs.

I must admit though, the M2-M7 drive is worth the toll. The alternate route is soo freaking shithouse.

Interesting to note how the costs vary albeit only slightly. Presumably depends on where you enter and exit?
