hey people,

Just got a problem with my mechanical 186 fuel pump, it has a leak but only leaks everynow and then, but when it leaks it leaks really bad, i took it to my mechanic today and lifted the bonnet to show him and it wasn't leaking, ran the car for about 3-5 minutes not a drop spotted. can anyone shed some light on what it could be? how i can fix it? cheers guys.

well is it leaking fuel or oil?
either way either get a kit for it or buy a new one - about $65 bucks i think
pain to rebuild - i tried it and ended up just buying a new one
cheers

easy to rebuild....if you aren't confident use a repair manual.
