feelin bored and i thought id mention this.

i was talkin to one of my mates tonight and he said that the other day he bought a original twin point l34 dizzy with cap and spare rotor for $150, unbelievable, he finds all the good deals, the bloke he bought it off said he didnt know how much it was worth and had it sitting in his cupboard for 10 years. I told him they go on ebay for over $1000! He knows how much they are worth just cause they are so rare.
I offered him $300 for it but he declined

I just paid 300 for an electronic Commodore distributor, coil, cap and leads for my Torana. The prices are right up there now.

hehe yeah points, and ive got msd.

although jap, the twin point dizzy is a very rare item, thats why its worth so much, they were standard on l34's and a9x's, you never find one these days.

purple lc, i dont think he would wanna sell the spare rotor, he needed the dizzy for his l34 restoration let alone hes a mad torana collector.

Sounds like a good buy, and at least it went to someone with an L34 rather than just become a bit on the shelf for someone that won't ever use it, or doesn't have an L34 for it to go in.

Hi Guys.

Did I read that right, these aren't 'jap', they're Australian made Bosch & reworked by Repco.

Also they are standard only on the L34 not on an A9X. The A9X gets a stock ADR27A single point dissy.

Dr Terry.

Terry, I think he was referring to "jap xu-1" a fellow forum user who questioned why anyone would pay so much for a points style distributor.
